General Business Operation

When do you recommend we reserve the Seattle Party Shots Photo Booth?
Because we are a custom solution, we sell out very quickly! We are not able to hold dates without a reservation fee, and to be fair to everyone, all dates are booked “first come first serve.”

How much time is needed to set up the photo booth?
It takes between 30 to 45 minutes to setup our photo booth; however, we like to arrive and have access to your venue at least an hour prior to our contracted start time. If there are any special loading requirements, we may need a little more time.

Do you charge extra to setup or deliver the photo booth?
No. Delivery, setup, and breakdown are all included our price.

What if we want you to set up the booth earlier than one hour prior to use?
That’s no problem! We charge $50 per hour for standby and are happy to have your booth ready for operation whenever you would like.

Do you charge a travel fee?
We do not charge a travel fee for the greater Seattle area. There is a small fee for traveling south past Tukwila, north past Marysville, and West over the water (Puget Sound). Check with our office team regarding travel rates.

Do you accept credit cards?
Yes. We accept VISA and Master Card.

What is your payment policy?
We require a $200 non-refundable reservation fee to secure your date, and three (3) weeks prior to the event your final payment is due. We accept cash, checks, money orders or other certified payment, and Visa or MasterCard.

What if we need to cancel or change dates?
If you need to change your date, we will do our best to accommodate your new date, but as the premier photo booth company in our area, we are often sold out months in advance. If you need to cancel your order entirely, or we are unable to accommodate your alternate date, any money paid as a non-refundable reservation fee cannot be returned.

Do you offer any specials or discounts?
Yes, we offer a special discount once each year for couples that book during the bridal shows. This allows us to “kick start” our season and fill any final remaining dates in the very busy summer season.

How can we save money on your service?
First, book us at a bridal show, and secondly take advantage of our package discounts for any of the upgrades you may be considering.

Can we have the photo booth shut down for an hour or two during the event?
Considering that our 5-hour package is our most popular, there is usually time to shut down the Seattle Party Shots Photo Booth if you have a need to do so, without ruining the fun. Your 5 consecutive hours start when you have contracted it to start, regardless of breaks or downtime.
 
Can we move the photo booth to a different location during the event?
Yes. As long as it is at the same venue with no steps and no driving is necessary. However, the downtime in moving the photo booth is included as part of your rental time.

Can we rent more than one photo booth for our event?
Yes. Just let us know your needs and we will check our availability.

Do you sub-contract out to other photo booth companies?
We are the owner of our photo booth, not a booking agency.

 



Why Seattle Party Shots

Why are your rates less expensive when your photo booth seems to be nicer?
We specialize in weddings and we priced our services based upon bridal couples, not corporate events. Because we focused on weddings, our booths and services are simply better suited for brides and grooms!

My wedding photographers say they can setup a photo booth? How is that different?
Photographers generally provide a simple portrait studio that does not resemble the photo booth experience at all. While this option has been around for years, it has never been very popular because it lacks the fun and intimacy of a true photo booth experience. We provide all of the extras that most photographers simply don’t have available. We also provide high quality prints immediately at your wedding when most photographers’ images are only viewable on the web after the event is over.

Do you have insurance?
Yes. We have $2,000,000 of liability insurance. Most event venues will ask you or us about this, but no worries, we have it covered.

 



How Does It Work

What does the person do once they are inside the photo booth?
They simply follow the on-screen instructions which will entail pushing either the ‘black & white’ or ‘color’ button (if you give them the choice), then watching the countdown and smiling for the camera. One of the advantages of our photo booth is that it is very user-friendly.

Is the photo booth easy to use?
It’s a snap! The photo booth is VERY easy to use and simple easy to follow instructions appear on the touch screen inside the booth for your guests.   Your pictures are taken and displayed within a second. Prints are available outside of the booth within 10 seconds.

Will there be someone at the event to maintain the photo booth?
Yes. A professional and friendly Seattle Party Shots Photo Booth Host is always on hand and will assist your guests with any questions and help with fun ideas.

 



Features and Size of Booth

What does the Photo Booth look like?
Elegantly draped and appropriate for a wedding, rather than a shopping mall or video arcade.

How big is the Photo Booth?
This is an area where we really shine! Our booths can be completely customized to adjust to the needs for your venue! Need a smaller booth for a more confined space – No Problem! Want it bigger to allow 12 guests inside? That’s no problem either!

How big should a photo booth be?
Bigger is definitely better! An again that’s where we offer the level of service that most photo companies can’t match! Maximizing the booth footprint gives you far more options from number of guests in the booth at one time, to the types of props they can use. Maximize the fun by maximizing the booth.

How many people can fit inside the photo booth?
In a standard configuration our booths can comfortable fit up to 4-6 guests, and even up to 20 people if they all really want to be together in one shot!

Can your photo booth be set up upstairs?
Yes! While many photo booths weigh over 700lbs and are too large to fit through doors or go upstairs, our unique design allows us to place our photo booth just about anywhere you would like –upstairs/downstairs and through small doorways are no problem for us!

Are there limitations as to where the photo booth can be set-up?
We can set up just about anywhere! Our custom Seattle Party Shots Photo Booth has the flexibility to be work well with any venue. Ideally we would we’d like to be right next to a power outlet. When we arrive before your event even starts, we will get together with your contact person at your venue and pick the best location.

Is your photo booth enclosed on all 4 sides or open?
We offer you the option for a private booth or an open air booth.

Do you offer a bench or do you have people stand in your booth? 
It’s up to you. A bench is beneficial for larger groups and also when there are tall and short people (including children).

Can the photo booth be setup outside?
Yes, if there is shelter provided such as a tent or cover. If nothing is provided, we may be able to provide a cover at an additional charge. Without shelter, the elements could lessen the quality of the photos. Keep in mind that electricity is required to run the Seattle Party Shots Photo Booth. Here again, we can provide a “quiet” generator to supply sufficient electricity, at an additional charge.

Is the photo booth wheelchair accessible?
Yes, Seattle Party Shots Booths are designed with this in mind!

 



Customizing the Booth

What background colors can I choose from?
We have over 70 different color options. We start with 4 standard colors to choose from: White, Black, Red, or Grey. If you would like custom colors, we have 70 more different colors and patterns from which you can select as an option as well. If you have a special request, please let us know and we will work with you.

What background colors work the best?
We have found that White, Black, or Grey background colors work best. They tend to keep your guests as the prime focus of the photograph and provide the least amount of distraction.

Does the photo booth have a monitor so waiting guests can see what’s happening in the booth?
Yes, we have an external monitor option available if you wish! However, part of the fun of a Photo Booth is that element of privacy in the booth – what happens in the booth stays in the booth 

What is your Video Message option?
Our Video Message option is studio quality! With this option during photo taking sessions, your guests can choose to leave you a video message of congratulations. This allows your videographer to concentrate on the fun things. No more interruption from a microphone being passed around the tables!

 



Photo Booth Party Props

Do you provide fun photo props?
Here again we really stand out! We have the largest selection of wild, fun, get-your-guests-crazy photo props anywhere – we’ve been collecting them for years! If you want your guests to have fun, then we are the photo booth you want!

Are your photo props child-friendly?
Yes. Children love our props. All packages have children’s items (including hats) and most of the other items included in each package will fit on most kids.

Can we supply our own props?
Yes. We encourage you to bring along any special props with which your guests may enjoy taking pictures. Props that suggest inside jokes are always fun to build your pictures.

Can we purchase the props at our event?
Yes, you can purchase our complete prop assortment for $250. After the event, you can bring the props home or distribute them to your guests. If you plan to do this, we must know 14 days prior to your party. We admit it…. $250 is a lot of money BUT we use fifty (50) first quality props. That’s an average of $5 per prop. $250 is the price we pay for the props!

 



Guestbook / Scrapbook

What is the Guest Book / Scrapbook included in the Party Package?
Outdated guest books are a relic of your mother’s and grandmother’s weddings. Today, your guest book can reflect far more than a sign in book that no one ever looks at after the wedding. Think of our modern guest book as an adjunct to your wedding album. Imagine looking at all the pictures of your guests being fun, silly or serious, and reading their personal notes next to their images. This is the guest book for today’s bride!


How does the Guest Book / Scrapbook work?
During the party guests will paste their photo strip into your guest book and then hand write a personal message next their photos. At the end of the event, we will give the book to you to keep as a treasured memento of our wedding. It will be filled with Photo Strips taken at your party. Roughly 4 photos and 4 hand written messages will fill the front and back of each page. So the book will provide for roughly 150 photos and 150 personalized messages. We will guide each guest to fill out the book. We will provide everything necessary for them. The only thing we need set-up in advance is a small table near the booth for the display.

 



Reliability, Operational Issues

How much time is taken up with changing paper, etc.?
Our on-site Host works very quickly to handle all operation and standard maintenance procedures. We guarantee that our Photo Booths will be running at least 80% of the time – as with any photographic service there is time needed occasionally to optimize or change photo paper, equipment settings, etc.  

What if there is a mechanical failure during the event?
Our on-site Host will work as fast as possible to resolve any issues. Again, we guarantee that our Photo Booths will be running at least 80% of the time.  

Prints, Size, Quality, Options
Is there a limit to how many photos can be taken at an event?
Absolutely not! Please take as many as you’d like – it is unlimited 🙂

Are the photos of high quality?
Yes. With the combination of our state-of-the-art computer, printer, and digital camera, Seattle Party Shots provides you with highest quality photos that are clear and vibrant with natural tones. All prints have a matte finish and will last a lifetime.

What print options do I have regarding size and color?
You can select from a number of print options: Your choice of ‘Black and White’ or ‘Color,’ in the classic 3 picture vertical strip, or single 4″ x 6″ prints are all included in our package.

Will the photos fade over time?
According to Sony, the manufacturer of our printer, they are “expected to last 100 years under proper conditions.”

 



Print Speed & How Long Should the Booth Be Rented

How fast do the photos print out?
We have the fastest printers on the market! After a session is over the printer will start printing immediately. It takes about 8 – 10 seconds to print your picture that will last a lifetime.  The original toxic, chemical-based photo booths typically take 3-5 minutes just for the printing alone!

How many photos can be taken at our event?
If the photo booth is completely occupied during one whole hour (which is highly likely), you will get approximately 45 sessions during that hour. This includes the time that it takes for people to choose their propos, enter the booth, strike their poses, take their photos, exit the booth and pick-up their pictures.

How long should I rent the photo booth for?
It depends on how long your event is and how many people are attending. In a typical hour, the photo booth will be used for 45 sessions. To ensure that everyone gets a chance to use your Seattle Party Shots Photo Booth, you should plan on at least 2 hours for every 100 guests. So if you want around 200 prints, you should rent it for 4 or 5 hours. In most cases, our clients rent the photo booth for 5 hours for up to 200 guests.

Can we regulate how often people visit the photo booth?
Yes. If you are concerned about some of your youngest guests (or perhaps those that may have enjoyed themselves at the bar a bit too much) dominating the photo booth and excluding your other guests, we have a solution that we can implement. This is commonly considered when lots of kids are at an event, as they tend to use the photo booth a lot. Mind you, this is okay by us, but if you think it may be a problem then we can implement a “ticket” plan or something of the sort, that way all the adults will get a fair shot at the fun!

 



Personalizing the Prints

Can we personalize the prints?
Yes! You have the option of adding text to the prints (such as your event name and event date), a logo, or your picture. You may also choose to have a picture of the honored couple as the fourth picture on every strip.

 



Online Photos

What if I want more than one copy of the same image?
Not a problem. Just let us know how many images you would like – please keep in mind that all the images will be available to you in your own online gallery too!

Do you offer a free online gallery?
Absolutely! You and at your guests will have access to the photos with a password protected online gallery that will let everyone re-live the fun.

What if someone takes an inappropriate picture?
If you (or anyone) sees one that you (or they) would like us to remove, let us know and we can do this right away.

Do I get to keep the images from the photo booth after the event?
Yes! We give you a link on the bottom of every photo that allows you to view the gallery and download the .ZIP file of ALL the photos with a click of the mouse.

How soon after the event can we see the photos?
We like to have them up on our website within two (2) business days.

How will our guests know where to see their online photos?
Each guest has access to a business card with our website gallery link as they exit the photo booth. This card has information on it so they can log into our website and view, print, and download their photos.

Are the photos on the website ours to print and save to our computer?
Yes. We do not force you to buy our prints, print them yourself or save them to other computers.
